The hotel is clean and feels up to date. Complimentary breakfast is a nice bonus. Two things worth noting:
1. I hated the bed. It was super soft and it was so broken down that it forced me into the middle.
2. The shower is bright & clean, but my shower head was broken and water only came out of the very center of the shower head. It felt more like a power washer than a refreshing rain shower!
If you are looking for a place to stay in town, this is a good bet!
We pulled up at 11 a.m. to look at getting a room. Under the portico was parked a huge white SUV blocking the entrance. A blond haired lady in her 40-50's was standing outside, smoking, while the vehicle played loud music. We both agreed to find another hotel. We wouldn't have been able to unload easily - and the idea of listening to her music when we wanted to sleep was unpleasant. I would really think twice at spending $150+ for a room here. Why pay to sleep at someone's party? We went to the Hampton and had a great night's sleep.
REPLY - Tuesday, September 12. There is no way your staff didn't know she was there so I'd ask them. It was the front entrance so if you have cameras it should have caught her. I didn't catch the make but it was a big car - maybe an Escalade, not a Blazer. Several people entering and exiting greeted her.
I've been in a lot of holiday inns and this is probably the best. Staff was friendly. The room is good size and clean. The bed was what got me. By far the best IHG bed I've slept in, and that's what I'm there for. There is a nice easy to get to waterfall right down the road from here for a little perk.

One of the best Holiday Inn Expresses I ever stayed in. Will definitely come back if in the area for work again.
